GENERAL INFORMATION:

The Little Log Cabin Montessori School is open five days a week, Monday–Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

We serve children from three to five years old. We accept a total of up to eight children, with the opportunity for older siblings of current students to attend after school care from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

We are open from September through July, with a two-week break at Christmas and a one-week Spring break. We are closed for the month of August.

DAILY SCHEDULE

8:00 am - 8:30 am: Children are dropped off for supervised outdoor play.

8:30 am - 9:00 am Circle time, which includes changing daily themes about the natural world (such as weather and the calendar), and, of course, classic, folk, and modern children’s stories.

9:00 am - 11:30 am Each child chooses individual activities in the classroom that include beginning math skills, language arts, and practical life lessons, with all-day access to a wide range of art materials. This period includes a snack time as well as outdoor play or nature walks, weather permitting.

11:30 am - 12:00 pm Lunch time, followed by a story.

12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Nap time/Quiet time (Non-nappers will be given quiet activities).

2:00 pm - 2:30 pm A second snack and another story.

2:30 pm - 5:00 pm Free play and/or pursue individual interests in the classroom or outdoors.

FEES

Registration fee – $30 per family per year

Supply Fee – $100 per child per year

Full Day Care – 5 days a week – $275 per week

Full Day Care – 4 days a week – $265 per week

(Our fees reflect the fact that children attending less than five days a week are still taking the place of a full-week student.)

Additional after-school care: 3-5pm. For siblings of current students only. Price varies depending on the number of days and hours.
